Barton's Old Apartment
This is where I (Barton) lived while working for Innovative Interfaces. My apartment in this 4-plex, located on Warfield Avenue in Oakland, cost me $750 a month in 1995-1996 (that's with no reserved parking). It's near the Grand Lake Theatre, Lake Merrit and Interstate 580.
I wanted the upper floor in case the "big one" hit while I lived out there. My apartment took up the entire front portion of the second floor. Normally the windows were open 24/7 with a window fan going constantly in one of the bay windows. I was told this was built in the 1920's, but I'm not 100% sure this is true.
