Vacation 2001 - The Wild, Wild West - Bay Area Return to the main Bay Area section |
Atop Lombard
Here's a view from the top of Lombard in San Francisco, called by some "the curviest street in the world." I had originally wanted to drive down it, but we ended up walking across the city rather than driving.
The brick-topped pillar on the right was being used by many tourists to gain a better camera angle while shooting photos of the street. It's a little difficult to stay up there while strong breezes are blowing.
This is along Hyde Avenue, the street we used to walk across much of the city.
