Vacation 2001 - The Wild, Wild West

Loneliest Highway in America, Highway 50 across Nevada During the semester break in May we flew from Jackson, MS, to Oakland, CA, and then rented a car. The car would be delivered to Salt Lake City Airport nine days later as we prepared to fly home again.

During this trip we intended to visit friends and locations in and around Oakland, where Barton used to work. We also were to visit the Barber family, friends of Sarah, in Fallon, NV. Add to that a trip across Nevada on Highway 50, "The Loneliest Highway in America," trips to Great Basin National Park, Kodachrome Basin State Park, and Bryce Canyon and you have a pretty full trip!

The following links will take you to photos and descriptions related to our trip.
